Integrated omics from tissue slides

The interplay of cell surface and extracellular glycoconjugates modulates accessibility of growth factors to cell surface signaling receptors.

Cell surface and extracellular matrix glycoproteins and proteoglycans modulate the accessibility of growth factor ligands to cell surface receptors, thereby influencing signalling transduction.  It is therefore not surprising that dysregulation of homeostasis of cell surface and extracellular matrix molecules is a hallmark of neurological diseases and cancers.  We developed a method for printing glycosidase or protease enzymes to tissue slide surfaces, extraction of the digestion products and LC-MS analysis.
