Applied Biosystems/PE Sciex Qstars

Applied Biosystems MDS Sciex Qstar-Pulsar quadrupole orthogonal time-of-flight mass spectrometer equipped with UV MALDI and electrospray sources.
There are two Qstar instruments at the Mass Spectrometry Resource.

  1. Applied Biosystems MDS Sciex Qstar-Pulsar quadrupole orthogonal time-of-flight mass spectrometer equipped with UV MALDI and electrospray sources. This instrument is interfaced with a Waters Acquity chromatographic system for on-line LC/MS experiments and is used primarily for analysis of compounds using the negative ion mode.
  2. Applied Biosystems MDS Sciex Qstar-Pulsar quadrupole orthogonal time-of-flight mass spectrometer equipped with an electrospray source. This instrument is interfaced with a Waters NanoAcquity chromatographic system for on-line LC/MS experiments and is used primarily for analysis of proteins and peptides using the positive ion mode
