He earned his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics in the Spira/Lenburg laboratory at Boston University, where he developed tools to leverage public gene expression microarray data in order to make novel inferences about disease-drug relationships.  Prior to that, he had worked for several years as a senior laboratory technician in the Surgical Research group at the Boston University Medical Campus, having previously completed a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Massachusetts in a laboratory that focused on oxidative stress response mechanisms in yeast.
Adam also serves in the following capacities:
  • Bioinformatics analyst for the BU Microarray and Sequencing Resource Core Facility (BUMSR)
  • Research Assistant Professor in the Section of of Computational Biomedicine,  overseeing computational infrastructure
  • Translational bioinformatics consultant in the BU Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)
