  • Education Claire Madden, LICSW is a clinical social worker in Adult Psychiatric Behavioral Health, splitting her time between the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic and the Geriatric Outpatient Clinic. Ms. Madden graduated from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the Boston College School of Social Work (BCSSW). She previously spent twelve years as a management consultant working in several Francophone African countries and Haiti providing technical assistance on maternal child health and family planning projects. She has also worked at the Department of Social Services and interned at Children’s Services of Roxbury. Currently, she is teaching Psychosocial Pathology in Spanish at the BCSSW. Her areas of clinical expertise include: crisis intervention, trauma, addiction, child welfare, women’s health, adoption and working with refugee/immigrant populations. Ms. Madden is trained in a variety of modalities including: CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing. She provides services in French, Spanish and English to individuals, couples, families and groups. Her approach is varied, incorporates psychodynamic theories, and is based on the biopsychosocial philosophy of clinical care.
