Education Dr. Horner grew up in Sykesville, MD. She obtained a B.A from Gettysburg College in 1976 and her medical degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine in 1979. After completing her internship at Brockton Hospital she entered the Boston University Psychiatry Residency Program which she completed in 1983. After completing fellowships in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at both Boston City Hospital and University Hospital she became a faculty member of the Boston University Psychiatry Department in 1985. She is board certified in both Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. She is currently an Assistant Professor and is a member of the Boston Medical Center Consultation service. In addition to consulting to medical and surgical services and providing supervision to residents on the service, she has an inpatient liaison with the OB service and renal service and a liaison with the BMC Kidney Transplant team. She is the Associate Director of the Psychosomatic Fellowship program, serves as the site director for the third and fourth year medical students who rotate on the Consult service and is an active member of the BUSM Admissions Committee.
