2026 Kase Symposium

On March 31st, 2026 the BU Department of Neurology held its Twelfth Annual Carlos S. Kase BU Neurology Research Symposium. Dr. Katelyn Bird, Dr. David M. Greer and Dr. Michael Alosco welcomed the guests on behalf of the department. This annual gathering celebrates the outstanding achievements in clinical research, education, and quality improvement by our students, residents, fellows, and faculty over the past year. We were especially honored to welcome our colleague, Marie-Hélène Saint-Hilaire, MD, FRCP(C), FAAN, Professor of Neurology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She presented “Diagnosing Parkinson Disease in the Context of New Biomarkers,” a timely and important topic as advances in biomarker development continue to reshape our approach to neurodegenerative disease.

The event included more than 30 posters by our students, residents, fellows, and faculty over the past year. All participants at the Symposium had the opportunity to select their favorite poster. The winner of the Audience Award for favorite poster (Social Determinants of MRI-driven Management Changes in Infective Endocarditis: The Role of Insurance, Homelessness, and Intravenous Drug Use) were Shreya Tripathy, Meha Prabhu and Steven K. Feske, MD.

Thank you to all of the presenters, research mentors, and attendees who made this Symposium a success. We look forward to seeing you at our future events!
