2025 Kase Symposium
On April 22nd, 2025 the BU Department of Neurology held its Eleventh Annual Carlos S. Kase BU Neurology Research Symposium. Dr. Katelyn Bird, Dr. David M. Greer and Dr. Michael Alosco welcomed the guests on behalf of the department.
This year we were honored to welcome our keynote speaker Dr. Donald M. Lloyd-Jones, MD ScM FAHA, FACC, FASPC, a national leader in public health and clinical approaches to promoting cardiovascular health and preventing cardiovascular diseases across the life course. He spoke about “Cardiovascular and Brain HEALTH: A new paradigm.”
The event included more than 30 posters highlighting achievements in clinical research and quality improvement by our students, residents, fellows, and faculty over the past year. All participants at the Symposium had the opportunity to select their favorite poster. The winners of the Audience Award for favorite poster (Quality Improvement: Palliative Care Curriculum with a Focus on Cultural Competency for Neurology Residents) were Ava Bakhtyari, MD, Haley E. Huggins, MD, Nicole Hayes, MD.
Thank you to all of the presenters, research mentors, and attendees who made this Symposium a success. We look forward to seeing you at our future events!
