Dr Pria Anand receives the A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award

The American Academy of Neurology (ANN) has awarded Pria Anand, MD, the 2025 A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award in recognition of her significant contributions to neurology education. Dr. Anand is an assistant professor of neurology within the Department of Neurology. She serves as Division Chief for Hospitalist Neurology Division (founding chief), where she has been truly impactful in her teaching, patient care, leadership and quality initiatives. She was appointed the Adult Neurology Residency Program Director in January 2023. She has uniformly received high praise as a teacher from medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Anand exemplifies the director who creates drive in residents to improve themselves as well as clearly being a role model. She inspires residents and medical students to be their best selves every day, and truly leads by example.
