ACGME Honors Ljiljana Popovic
Ljiljana Popovic, the residency program administrator for the Department of Neurology in the Boston University Medical Center (BUMC), has been awarded a prestigious “Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award” for 2020 from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This award is given to program administrators in recognition of their in-depth understanding of the accreditation process, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and projects to improve residency programs. Ljiljana is one of only five administrators at medical training programs throughout the U.S. to have received this honor. The award was presented at the Annual ACGME Education Meeting in San Diego last month. The ACGME is the organization responsible for accrediting the majority of graduate medical training programs for physicians in the U.S.
