  • Starts: 12:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025
  • Ends: 1:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025

Dental, medical, and health science students, along with faculty and staff, are invited to a presentation by Dr. Margaret Maclin, a pediatric dentistry specialist. The event is part of the Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s Rare Disease Education Series, which features guest patients to highlight the real-life impact of rare oral-related diseases.

Dr. Margaret Maclin is a board-certified pediatric dentist based in Nashville, with extensive experience in hospital-based care for patients with special needs, complex medical conditions, and craniofacial differences. Her work led her to treat individuals with metabolic bone diseases, particularly X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH). She partnered with Kyowa Kirin to advocate for and raise awareness of XLH. Though now in private practice, she remains dedicated to serving patients with special needs and complex health issues.

Kyowa Kirin is a Japan-based global pharma company focused on rare and hard-to-treat diseases, delivering innovative treatments through broad collaboration. www.kyowakirin.com.
