Feb. 9 Public Health Forum: The Public's Love/Hate Relationship With Epidemiology

Join David Savitz, PhD, as he presents the talk “The Public’s Love/Hate Relationship With Epidemiology: The Burden of Being Relevant” at the BUSPH Public Health Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at noon in L-112.

Savitz’s talk will cover how epidemiologic research, particularly studies addressing environmental health concerns, is of interest to the public because it provides a scientific approach to issues of great concern.

For more than two decades, Savtiz has studied the causes, distribution, and control of diseases in diverse populations. His research interests include problems associated with pregnancy and fertility and the risks of environmental exposures. He is a professor in the Departments of Community Health and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University.

The BUSPH Public Health Forum is a regular series presented by the School of Public Health. It is free and open to the public.
