Katya Ravid, D.Sc., Ph.D.

Dr. Ravid is an investigator for the  Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute, with a specialty in Blood Stem Cells, Cardiovascular Biology, and Cell Cycle Control. Her major Research Interests Include: Platelet Production and Function and the Roles of Adenosine Receptors in Platelet and Vascular Biology in Health and Pathology. She is the Founding Director for the Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research, and a university-wide Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Office (BU IBRO), as well as the recent past Director for the Transgenic Core and Animal Research Resource Center. She is a recipient of several award, including the Fulbright Scholar Award in 2016-107.
