Our research laboratory is located in the Evans Biomedical Research Center (X-building). Our lab is part of Boston University School of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Boston Medical Center. Our research involves three pathogenic bacteria: Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, and Porphyromonas gingivalis. We have collaborators throughout the world. Collaborators that work with us regularly include: Jane Freedman M.D., Frank Gibson Ph.D., Ellen Weinberg Ph.D., James Hamilton Ph.D., Paola Massari Ph.D., Lee Wetzler M.D., Robin Ingalls M.D. and Richard Darveau Ph.D. but we have many collaborators both in the U.S. and internationally. Our laboratory is dedicated to understanding host-pathogen interactions and the role these pathogens play in pathogenesis.
