Educational Activities and Conferences
The structure of the educational program incorporates a number of methods aimed at shaping each fellow into an excellent, well-rounded academic gastroenterologist. By the end of the program, fellows are expected to provide competent care for a spectrum of gastroenterological diseases and function as an authority regarding these maladies. Numerous resources are made available to the fellow during their training which include contact with the clinical faculty and access to an extensive medical library, which contains texts, review articles, and original literature. The fellows’ educational curriculum begins with a series of lectures given at the start of the academic year. These lectures form the foundation and basis for further reading and clinical experience.
