A 10 percent director position for the Center for Military and Post Deployment Health (CMPDH) is now open (to replace Dr. Anna Hohler, who will be leaving to become Chair of Neurology at Steward-St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Director of Medical Student Education for the Steward HealthCare Group).

The CMPDH director is the face of the Center who interacts with the VA, DOD and other governmental agencies funding military medicine initiatives and supervises staff who organize Medical Campus Military Health education and research. As the center becomes more active, we anticipate an increasing time commitment.
Our goal is to build the Center of excellence for military and post deployment health. The Center:

  • Recruits faculty and staff from across the University so that the Center can truly perform as an interdisciplinary research center, a clinical center of excellence.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the planning, development, and evaluation of deployment research on the medical campus,
  • Facilitates growth of the BU military health research portfolio.
  • Leads programmatic responses to proposals from the NIH and DOD and other funding sources, especially those that require or encourage cross-departmental interactions or resources and initiatives that leverage the unique basic and clinical resources available at BUMC

Please send a cover letter outlining your interest, qualifications and your CV to BUMCProvost@bu.edu.
