Treatment of the sexual pain condition dyspareunia varies widely depending on the specific diagnosis. Often, a patient will have several conditions causing the sexual pain problem.
The physicians at the Center for Sexual Medicine are specialists in vulvar disorders. They have developed surgery for dyspareunia (painful intercourse) which has proven to be successful for many of our patients. Additional therapies include nerve blocks and physical therapy. Each patient must undergo a full evaluation before a treatment option may be chosen.
