PROVIDING BETTER PATIENT CARE
THROUGH EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

 

• Pursue academic, university-based multidisciplinary basic science and clinical research to delineate and understand the scientific basis of sexual health disorders.

• Train and educate medical students, graduate students, residents, visiting clinicians and other health professionals in basic and clinical research in the field of Sexual Medicine.

• Promote the exchange of scientific information generated from experimental and clinical research through publications, seminars, public forums and symposia in classroom and laboratory settings.

The overall purpose of the Center for Sexual Medicine is to generate focused scientific investigations in Sexual Medicine research designed, ultimately, to alleviate suffering from organic and psychologic sexual health problems.

The Center is closely related to the Laboratory for Sexual Medicine Research (LSMR) for basic science research.

The Center is a state-of-the-art, academic facility to combine basic science, clinical research and a unique training program in Sexual Health Medicine. The Center brings together young researchers and clinicians from different disciplines to expand and integrate the vast base of medical knowledge towards understanding sexual health disorders.
