Sarah Kark, BS, PhD

Research Assistant

Sarah Kark graduated with her B.S in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University in 2010. During her undergraduate experiential learning internship she conducted visual psychophysics research on blur adaptation, blur tolerance, and multiple object tracking at the Schepens Eye Research Institute. While at Northeastern, she also conducted muscle physiology research.

Currently, Sarah is examining the efficacy of neurorehabilitation treatments for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans with blast-induced traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder at Dr. Bogdanova’s Neurorehabilitation Lab. Sarah is especially interested in the neural correlates and behavioral manifestations in mood and anxiety disorders, including the effect of sleep on emotion processing and emotional memory. Sarah plans to pursue a doctorate in cognitive-affective psychology.
