Research Programs
Inherent in our mission is the focus on understanding the molecular events associated with cancer initiation and progression in our diverse patient population and directly translating these findings into more effective prevention and treatment. We bridge the gap between the clinical oncology and biomedical research communities and strengthen the infrastructure for clinical research, increasing patient recruitment and expanding biosample banking integrated with clinical and genomic data. Research programs are progressed through collaboration: leveraging the existing expertise at BU in computational biology, bioengineering, tissue biospecimen banking, regenerative medicine as well as the molecular cores
Centered around common interests and portfolios of our members, each program pursues original research questions while collaborating across the Center through our seminars, retreats and research symposiums.
