I am currently working as a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Dr. Mikel Garcia-Marcos. My current research in the lab focused on two aspects, firstly to generate new tools to study G protein activation and signalling. My second aim is to identify of novel G protein binding peptides to leverage them as tools for studying G protein function.

My previous postdoctoral research experience has been in the field of calcium signalling in the context of skin pigmentation, where I helped identify the key melanogenic protein MITF as the transcriptional regulator of the ER calcium sensor STIM1. I also looked at the role of mitochondrial calcium homeostatsis in regulating pigmentation.

My Ph.D. research focused on studying the transcriptional regulation of E3 ubiquitin ligases in the context of breast cancer and identified SOX4 as novel regulator of the tumor suppressor E3 ligase FBXW7.
