About us

The Team

We are a group of nurses, physicians and physical therapists at Boston University Medical Center with an interest in global health. Since 2013 we have volunteered annually with the St. Luke and St. Damien hospitals in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Our collaborators at Stanford University (Dr. Veronica Santini) and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Dr. Anna Hohler) continue to make these trips possible.

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide teaching and training for Haitian students, nurses and physicians to improve access to neurological care for Haitian patients. In addition to traveling annually to Port Au Prince, we also sponsor visitorships for Haitian physicians to travel to Boston University Medical Center for hands-on training.

Our efforts are part of a larger program coordinated by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) to consistently bring volunteers to Port Au Prince for ongoing support.

We could not have accomplished our goals without the generosity of our donors and volunteers.

Thank you!
