Microsoft CoPilot
TerrierGPT
TerrierGPT is BU’s AI-powered assistant designed for students, faculty, and staff to support AI literacy and innovation in a responsible and secure environment (student access is coming this summer).
Key features
- Multi-Model Access: TerrierGPT provides access to top-tier generative AI models including OpenAI’s GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, and Meta Llama, all through a unified LibreChat interface
- Data Privacy & Security: User inputs are not used to train the AI models. TerrierGPT is approved for confidential data (but not restricted-use data), ensuring compliance with BU’s data policies
- Free for BU Community: During its pilot phase, TerrierGPT is available at no cost to BU students, faculty, researchers, and staff
- Academic Integration: Faculty can define acceptable AI use in syllabi, and students are encouraged to cite AI contributions, promoting responsible academic use
- Ethical AI Use Guidance: TerrierGPT includes best practices and ethical guidelines to help users critically evaluate AI outputs and avoid misuse
