There are a variety of communications tools available to publicize events of interest to faculty, staff and students at the Boston University Medical Campus and the Boston Medical Center. The Office of Communications can also assist with external communications.
Digital Signage BUMC
Flat panel displays are available for announcements in the BUSM Instructional building, Crosstown and the Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Generally signage promotes events taking place on the BU Medical Campus, the BU Charles River Campus or at Boston Medical Center that are of interest to faculty, staff and students. Please allow two business days for approval of your announcement.
Submit flat panel announcements for display in the BUSM Instructional building by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
To post flat panel announcements at the Goldman School of Dental Medicine building, contact Julia Bookout at email@example.com or 617-638-4888.
For flat panel announcements in the School of Public Health, contact Chris Scanlon, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Boston Medical Center
The digital signage system promotes BMC events, announcements and news to staff via 10 flat screen TVs located in the lobbies and cafeterias of BMC buildings. When submitting content for posting, consider the following:
- Is your announcement of interest to all staff? Does it ask for wide staff participation?
- Is the content appropriate for the general public (e.g. patients and visitors)?
- Is it timely?
Examples of digital signage announcements:
- Programs/Events (Patriots Shirt Day, lectures)
- Wellness (Yoga, Music for Relaxation, Smoking Cessation)
Facility and operational messages, such as system downtimes, are not appropriate for the digital signage system. Please contact Communications at email@example.com for assistance with publicizing these messages.
