Corporate Communications
The Department of Corporate Communications is responsible for Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) media relations, public relations and publications.
In the area of media relations, the department generates publicity for BUMC through news releases, monitoring health news trends and offering BUMC experts to local and national news outlets for commentary on health topics. Additionally, the office helps members of the medical center community publicize campus events, academic achievements, medical research and other news of general interest. Information on how to publicize events at BUMC is available here.
All news and information to be released to the media from BUMC should be coordinated through Corporate Communications.
Corporate Communications maintains a Medical Expert Directory that describes faculty and staff members’ areas of medical expertise. Updated regularly, the directory is available to members of the local and national media only and is used for reference when an expert is needed to comment on a particular medical topic.
Corporate Communications is also responsible for editing, designing and producing many of the medical campus publications including Campus & Alumni News and This Week.
