Armenian Medical World Congress

The 8th Armenian Medical World Congress was held in Toronto, Canada July 4-8, 2001 under the sponsorship of the Armenian Medical International Committee. Marie Vartanian, of the Boston University Medical Center/Armenia Partnership Program, who chairs AMIC’s Nursing Committee, organized the Congress’ nursing professional development workshops and plenary sessions and secured funding for two Armenian nurse leaders to attend, one, Rosanna Ginosian, chair of Clinical Nursing and the other Alina Khushkian, chair of Nursing Reform. Boston University School of Medicine and American International Health Alliance provided support for the Congress.
