Kirschstein-NRSA Awards Guidelines<\/a>. They are established annually by the NIH. \u00a0Trainees are paid on a monthly basis on the last weekday of the month.<\/p>\n<h3>Insurance<\/h3>\n<p>The training grant provides funds for health insurance; however, the trainee is responsible to enroll in his\/her own personal health insurance plan. Boston University also offers insurance plans to choose from.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston University Human Resources\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Conferences<\/h3>\n<p>An allowance is given annually for trainees to attend a scientific conference of their choosing.<\/p>\n<h3>Tuition<\/h3>\n<p>An allowance is given for tuition if a trainee chooses to further educate themselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stipend The trainee \u00a0stipend is based on NIH Ruth L.
