{"id":7770,"date":"2026-06-10T11:20:55","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T15:20:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/virol-immunol-microbio\/?p=7770"},"modified":"2026-06-10T11:21:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T15:21:13","slug":"2026-corwin-award-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/virol-immunol-microbio\/2026\/06\/10\/2026-corwin-award-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 Corwin Award Winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that there are two winners of the 2026 Corwin Award: <strong>Elias Nafziger<\/strong> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/virol-immunol-microbio\/profile\/robert-davey-ph-d\/\">Rob Davey&#8217;s lab<\/a> and <strong>Anna Tseng<\/strong> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/virol-immunol-microbio\/profile\/florian-douam-ph-d\/\">Florian Douam\u2019s lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Corwin Award was established in 1994 to recognize a Virology, Immunology &amp; Microbiology Graduate Student who displays the qualities of an outstanding departmental \u201ccitizen\u201d, one whose exemplary scholarly and\/or scientific achievement, values of collegiality and scientific integrity, and active participation in department and campus activities best epitomize the contributions of the former member of our department, Larry Corwin.
