She obtained this award when her project was chosen for a poster presentation at the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/aboutus\/events\/scholars-day\/\">Boston University Scholars Day Symposium<\/a> where she was honored with the <b>Office of Technology and Development Award<\/b> for innovation. As part of a two-part competition, the Office of Technology and Development award title qualified Fadie to compete for one of the two all-around Scholars Day awards (Provost and President&#8217;s award). Awardees were selected based on an oral presentation given to an audience consisting of the University provost and esteemed faculty addressing the significance of their research projects to a general audience.
