In addition to time spent developing podiatric surgery skills, rotations include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Family Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Endocrinology<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Radiology<\/li>\n<li>General Surgery\/TACS<\/li>\n<li>Vascular Surgery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All rotations are at Boston Medical Center.<\/p>\n<h4>Year 2<\/h4>\n<p>The second year focuses on podiatry as a whole, with an introduction to research. The second-year resident takes part in surgical procedures, whether elective, emergent, or in clinic. The resident will have his\/her own clinic session under an attending surgeon\u2019s supervision. Residents have rotations that will further enhance their medical and surgical knowledge. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anesthesiology<\/li>\n<li>Behavioral Health<\/li>\n<li>Orthopedic Surgery<\/li>\n<li>Infectious Disease<\/li>\n<li>Lower Extremity Ulcer Care (LEUC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Year 3<\/h4>\n<p>The third-year resident will be in surgery and clinic full time, including his\/her own clinic. The resident will also have rotations in Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Rheumatology, and an elective of their choice.
