This approach utilizes pharmacological, physiological and biochemical methods to better understand how tissue structure and the signal transduction mechanisms are integrated to modulate erectile tissue function and vaginal hemodynamics. His expertise includes steroid biochemistry, receptor biology, membrane biochemistry, physiology of erectile tissue, immunoassays of PSA and hormone receptors in prostate and breast cancer, neutrotransmitter receptor function in erectile tissue, endothelins and immunochemistry of endothelins, protein characterization, functional approaches and development of animal models for drug testing in sexual function.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Director, Laboratory for Sexual Medicine Research Professor of Urology and Biochemistry Dr. Traish received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Tripoli and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Boston University.
