New Student Groups

APPLY TO CREATE A NEW GROUP

 

NAMING REQUEST

New student orgs are requested to create names that can be expanded to include other interests, in the future, as needed. For example, a cabinet-making group would instead call themselves the Woodworking Club so that, in the future, students with an interest in making birdhouses could form a group inside the Woodworking Club instead of forming a new group.

 

STUDENT ORG REQUIREMENTS

The following requirements must be met in order for a student organization to be remain active. Students organizations that do not meet all of these requirements will be no longer be considered active and will no longer be eligible for funding. Student organizations that have been deemed inactive will need to apply to be a student organization as if they are a new group.

  1. At least one event per semester
  2. Tabling and recruitment at the student activities fair
  3. Attendance at the Career Expo if categorized as a Career Interest Group
