Application Process
How to apply…
We are currently accepting applications for PGY2 positions beginning July 2009. We participate in the AAMC “ERAS” Program (Electronic Residency Application Program). All applications must be submitted through the ERAS Program. If you need help with the instructions on how to access a student workstation or use the ERAS system, you may contact your medical school Dean’s office. Foreign medical graduates should contact the ECFMG. Further information about the ERAS program can be obtained from their web site at: www.aamc.org/eras.
Requirements for consideration for an interview are: minimum of two letters of recommendation, preferably one from a physiatrist, CV, personal statement, medical school transcripts, and a Dean’s letter. Passing USMLE Steps 1 and 2 on the first try, both US and international medical school graduates must have completed USMLE Steps I and 2 to be considered for rank. We also prefer that Doctors of Osteopathy have COMLEX scores to be 500 or higher.
Applicants must register with the National Resident Match Program for PGY2 positions in PM&R. Completed applications must be submitted by November 15th to be considered for interview. Applicants are invited for interviews by email through ERAS. Interviews are held between December and January.
