The dual mission of the Fellowship Program is to train outstanding academic-focused pulmonary and critical care clinicians and to prepare future physician-scientists for careers in basic, clinical, and translational science. Our goal is to provide a training environment that is characterized by broad clinical and research opportunities, collegiality, and flexibility. Supporting a diverse group of fellows is central to our mission. We offer an unparalleled breadth of rigorous clinical and research experiences which are adapted to meet the interests and career goals of our fellows. Clinical training at Boston Medical Center, the largest safety net hospital in New England, and the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, provides our fellows with substantial and varied training in all aspects of pulmonary and critical care medicine.<\/p>\n

The program\u2019s unique mentoring system ensures that fellows receive tailored guidance towards academic careers that are suited to the particular needs and interests of each fellow.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
