Translational-Clinical Research

Research translational

Understanding the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of lung disease through Translational-Clinical research is a mission of our group. The strength of our research group is the collaboration we have between basic and clinical scientists. The faculty and fellows that participate in the many clinical programs of our section also conduct a diverse array of translational-clinical research focused on the advanced lung diseases treated by our specialists, including studies in amyloidosis, pulmonary hypertension, systemic sclerosis and sepsis.

Conducting phase I-III clinical trials of therapy, examining the epidemiology and genetics of lung diseases, and performing bioinformatics-based analysis of tissue samples typify our many translational research programs that can be accessed by clicking on the left margin of this page. Our section believes that to fulfill Boston Medical Center’s mission of providing exceptional care without exception, we must continue to lead advances in the understanding and therapy of lung disease
