Dr. Guenechea-Sola is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and Pediatrics.  She attends on the Allergy Consultation Service for both adult and pediatric patients.  Her outpatient activity is split between pediatric and adult Allergy Clinics.

Dr. Guenechea-Sola’s clinical and research interests are focused on quality improvement measures in the testing and treatment of allergy, the determinants of health in relation to allergy and the psychosocial impact of allergy on patients and families.

Prior to coming to Boston University, Dr. Guenechea-Sola complete Allergy/Immunology Fellowship at University of California San Francisco, where she trained in the management and treatment of primary immunodeficiency.  She has special interests in combined immunodeficiency syndromes.  During her time at the University of California San Francisco, she also focused on epidemiologic work in relation to diagnosis and outcomes of Asthma-COPD Overlap Syndrome (ACOS).
