- Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
The Wilson Lab’s Mission is to advance understanding of and treatment for genetic causes of lung and liver disease. We focus primarily on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and its most common monogenic cause, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD), using patient-derived stem cells to model and understand disease mechanisms.
