{"id":5385,"date":"2018-02-05T11:41:47","date_gmt":"2018-02-05T16:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/psychiatry\/?p=5385"},"modified":"2018-02-05T11:41:47","modified_gmt":"2018-02-05T16:41:47","slug":"bu-ctsi-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/psychiatry\/2018\/02\/05\/bu-ctsi-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"BU-CTSI Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p><span>We are pleased to announce that\u00a0<\/span><strong>Christina Borba, PhD,<\/strong><span>\u00a0has been awarded the\u00a0<\/span><strong>Boston University Clinical and Translational Science Institute (BU-CTSI) Integrated Pilot Grant!<\/strong><span>\u00a0The pilot grant is a collaboration between the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Michael Paasche-Orlow from BUSM\u2019s Department of Medicine (General Internal Medicine), and Dr. Alisa Lincoln from the Institute of Urban Health Research at Northeastern University. The grant builds upon previous work of a NIMH funded grant (PI: Lincoln) which examined the prevalence and meaning of limited literacy in the lives of people with serious mental illness (SMI) served through BMC. This new pilot grant will support the development of an adult basic education intervention that addresses limited literacy among BMC patients using outpatient mental health services.
