Call for Nominations for Faculty, Staff, and Trainee Recognition Awards<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Department of Psychiatry has established a new initiative to recognize both our departmental faculty and staff service and accomplishments. All Department of Psychiatry Staff are eligible to submit nominations. Awards will be announced at departmental meetings and will be showcased on the Department of Psychiatry Newsletter and Website.<\/p>\n

Faculty Recognition Award<\/strong>: To recognize faculty work in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center, please submit your nominations via the Faculty Recognition Nomination Form below. All BMC and BU Department of Psychiatry faculty are eligible for nominations.<\/p>\n

Staff Recognition Award<\/strong>: To recognize staff who provide exceptional work without exception in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center, please submit your nominations via the Staff Recognition Nomination Form below. All BMC Department of Psychiatry staff who are permanent employees (either part-time or full-time) are eligible.<\/p>\n

Trainee Recognition Award<\/strong>: To recognize trainees who provide exceptional work without exception in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center, please submit your nominations via the Trainee Recognition Nomination Form below. All BMC Department of Psychiatry trainees who are permanent employees (either part-time or full-time) are eligible. Trainees include Clinical Interns (i.e. Psychology Interns), Psychiatry and Psychiatry-Family Medicine Residents, and Fellows.<\/p>\n

We are accepting nominations through January 14, 2022 for the January 2022 award period<\/strong>.<\/em> Employee Recognition awards will be announced on January 27th during the Psychiatry Department Meeting.<\/p>\n

Mentorship-<\/strong> Recognizes those who have excelled at mentoring others in achieving their career objectives through moral, social, and intellectual support.<\/p>\n

Teaching- <\/strong>Recognizes those who contribute positively to the learning environment by providing exceptional energy and keen interest in trainees or students in the Department of Psychiatry.<\/p>\n

Team Player<\/strong>– Recognizes those who develop and encourage cooperation and collaboration while displaying outstanding group effort.<\/p>\n

Unsung Hero<\/strong>– Recognizes those who work behind the scenes. Those who consistently provide high quality, reliable and critical work.<\/p>\n

Rising to the Occasion<\/strong>– Recognizes those who go above and beyond the call of duty in a particular situation; those who have stepped up in a significant way to ensure success of a project or initiative.<\/p>\n

Media Celebrity<\/strong>– Recognizes those who have repeatedly been showcased in media outlets including but not limited to journals, the newspaper, radio, television, social media.<\/p>\n

Clinical Excellence<\/strong>– Recognizes those who exemplify excellence in the delivery of compassionate, safe and high-quality care.<\/p>\n

Research Excellence<\/strong>– Recognizes those whose productive scholarly activity makes important contributions to the field of behavioral health, and the reputation of Boston University Medical Campus.<\/p>\n

Exceptional Patient Experience Without Exception<\/strong>– This award recognizes those who make personal connections with patients and showing compassion for their families; check on their patients regularly; offer suggestions for improvement based on their daily interactions with patients; and create a friendly environment for patients.<\/p>\n
