Gain additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the renowned Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) on the Charles River Campus. CARD was founded by David Barlow PhD, a world leader in CBT and anxiety disorders.\u00a0\u00a0 The patient population at CARD are self-referred drawing from college students, employed persons from Boston and suburbs, and people from the local community who present with an anxiety disorder ranging from simple phobias to OCD.<\/p>\n<p>Location: Boston University, Charles River Campus<\/p>\n<p>Faculty: M. Ross, MD<br \/>\nRequirements: Wed or Fri; 6-12 months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danielsen Institute, Boston University<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Experience: Clinical. Gain additional experience in psychotherapy and in psychopharmacology, including the role of spirituality. The Danielsen staff, including G. Stravros PhD and M. Wilson MD are leaders in the development of Spiritually Integrated Treatment. The patient populations is drawn from the area undergraduate student population, BU faculty and staff. Residents work across disciplines with pastoral counselors, clinical nurse specialists and social workers.<br \/>\nLocation: Boston University, Charles River Campus<\/p>\n<p>Faculty: M. Wilson, MD<br \/>\nRequirements: All day Monday and Wed AM (required); 6-12 months<\/p>\n<h3>Community Psychiatry<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Beverly Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Experience: Clinical. Inpatient Psychiatry: General Hospital Location:\u00a0Beverly Hospital<br \/>\nFaculty:\u00a0B. Ginsberg MD and staff<br \/>\nRequirements:\u00a03 days (minimum) for 6 months<\/p>\n<p>Experience: Clinical. Psychosomatic Medicine, General Hospital Location:\u00a0Beverly Hospital<br \/>\nFaculty:\u00a0\u00a0B. Ginsberg MD and staff<br \/>\nRequirements:\u00a03 days (minimum) for 6 months<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Psychiatry Health Centers<\/strong><br \/>\nExperience: Clinical. Outpatient<\/p>\n<p>Location: Various Community Health Centers<br \/>\nFaculty: J. Buczek MD and staff<br \/>\nRequirements: 1-2 days\u00a0 for 6 months<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Forensic Psychiatry<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Experience: Clinical and Administrative. Be a part of the Forensic Team on one of the forensic units.<br \/>\nLocation: Dr. Solomon Carter Mental Health Center<br \/>\nFaculty: M. Caicedo, MD, MPH<br \/>\nRequirements: 1-3 days\/week for 3-12 months<\/p>\n<h3>Other:<\/h3>\n<p>Proposed electives and away electives (international or national) may be discussed with Dr. Janet Osterman, Program Director.
