Consultations are also available for medication evaluation in pregnancy and lactation for mental health problems (risk\/risk discussion of psychotropic medications for preconception planning, during pregnancy and lactation).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reproductive mental health training and consultation<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span><em>(for providers)<\/em>:<span>\u00a0<\/span><span>Clinical case consultations for medical and mental health providers within the Boston Medical Center Healthcare System.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Current Group Offerings<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/psychiatry\/files\/2026\/03\/Baby-Cafe.pdf\">BMC Baby Cafe<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>offers resources in lactation counseling, education in prenatal breastfeeding, and support for parents. Sessions are on Mondays, 4:30 pm &#8211; 6 pm ET offered both in person (Shapiro building) and virtual.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haitian Mamas Group\u00a0<\/strong>is a support group for pregnant and postpartum Haitian moms that aims to create a sense of community, develop coping skills and encourage discussion. Group sessions are in person (Shapiro building) on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 4 pm ET. This is a drop in group, so patients can join groups at their own pace for up to 5 group sessions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/psychiatry\/files\/2026\/03\/Resilient-New-Parent-Group.pdf\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Resilient New Parent Group <\/span><\/b><\/a>is a 12 week, in-person group for new parents with a history of mental conditions. The group takes place on Fridays at 10am ET at Boston Medical Center.
