  • Education Joan Taglieri, RN, MSN, is the Senior Director of Clinical Operations for the BMC Department of Psychiatry and is a Clinical Assistant Professor, Boston University School of Medicine, Division of Psychiatry. In this position, Ms. Taglieri participates as a member of Department of Psychiatry Executive Team, overseeing the development, implementation and delivery of behavioral health research and clinical programs. Ms. Taglieri received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Boston College and her Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco. In addition to psychiatric nursing, her expertise is in the development and management of behavioral health programs, behavioral health systems of care planning and development and grant management. Her experience includes leadership in both public and private sector behavioral healthcare. Ms. Taglieri is the Principal Investigator on numerous grants focused on community-based psychiatric emergency services, peer workforce development and peer to peer recovery services and criminal justice diversion programs. Ms. Taglieri is an active board member of the Massachusetts Association of Mental Health.
