Mary T. Walsh Student Achievement Award

Mary T. Walsh
Memorial Student Achievement Award
in Physiology & Biophysics

This award is in memory of Mary T. Walsh, a faculty member of the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at Boston University School of Medicine from 1984 to 2004.

She was a researcher, a biochemist whose life interest was glycoproteins, and most importantly a beloved member of the Department’s graduate teaching program. Mary was not only a student advisor and mentor, but she was also their protector and friend. Her wisdom, patience and guidance helped both students and the faculty alike. She was the soul of the graduate program until her unexpected death in 2004. May the memory of Mary Walsh and her love of working with students be perpetuated with this annual award.
