Differential Scanning and Isothermal Titration Calorimetry
The Program maintains a Microcal MC-2 adiabatic differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) used for the thermodynamic analysis of proteins, lipids and biological membranes in dilute solution. MC-2 is computer-controlled for data collection, analysis and display using Microcal ORIGIN software.
In addition, we have acquired a new state-of-the-art high-resolution VP-DSC microcalorimeter from Microcal for the analysis of the temperature- and pressure-induced protein unfolding, lipid phase transitions, and other first order phase transitions in macromolecules.
