Han, MD, MBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Education and Training Background<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Dr. Steve Han is an Assistant Professor and serves as the Director of the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Program at Boston Medical Center as well as the Director of the Movement disorders program at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Braintree. He is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained movement disorders specialist.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Dr. Han earned his undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and his medical degree from Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine. He completed his internship and neurology residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine (Manhattan Track), where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He then completed his fellowship training in Movement disorders at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.<\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div><b>Clinical Care<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Dr. Han specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of movement disorders, including Parkinson\u2019s disease, atypical parkinsonian syndromes, various tremor disorders, Huntington\u2019s disease, dystonia, and ataxia.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As Director of the DBS Program, Dr. Han plays a central role in evaluating patients for deep brain stimulation, performing intraoperative testing, and optimizing DBS programming to improve patient\u2019s quality of life.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He also has expertise in the use of botulinum toxin injections to treat movement disorders and utilizes guidance techniques, such as electromyography (EMG) and ultrasound, to ensure precise and effective treatment.<\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div><b>Teaching and Mentorship<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Dr. Han is involved in the education and mentorship of medical students, neurology residents, and movement disorders fellows at Boston University Chobanian &amp; Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. He is dedicated to training the next generation of neurologists and specialists in movement disorders.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Community Outreach<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Dr. Han is committed to community engagement and patient education.
