CAMED Special Loan Advance Request for Living Expenses

Due to the delay with the FAFSA application renewal of M1, M2, M3 and M4 student financial aid may be delayed beyond the scheduled start date of the 2024-2025 academic year. In lieu of this delay, SFS is offering M1, M2, M3 and M4 medical students, GMS students, GMS Oral Health Sciences, GMS Physician Assistant Classes of 2026 & 2027, and all SPH programs advance loan funding to assist with student living expenses for the first 1.5 months of the academic year.

Students will still receive their anticipated financial aid awards including any renewal of CAMED scholarship funding at a later date and the remainder of any anticipated financial aid for the 2024-2025 academic year will be applied prior to any tuition due dates.

Students still must apply for federal Graduate PLUS and/or private credit-based loan to cover any loan advance funding provided through this process.

By law, these funds cannot be released prior to the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, depending on your class year. Please refer to the Academic Calendars page for questions about academic year dates. Physician Assistant Class of 2026 can receive funding beginning July 15, 2024. Physician Assistant Class of 2027 can receive funding beginning August 5th, 2024. SPH Applied Biostats students can receive funding beginning August 12, 2024.

This offer is available to M1, M2, M3 and M4 medical students as well as students in the Oral Health Sciences, Physician Assistant Class of 2026 and 2027, and SPH Applied Biostats for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Students in all other GMS and SPH programs will be eligible for advance funds disbursed advance funding after September 3, 2024.
