Interview Day / Evening

Early every January, interview day is held at the BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and the Orthopaedic Clinic. Between 800-900 applicants apply each year and a select number are offered an interview with the program. The Chairman and Program Director, Dr. Paul Tornetta, introduce the applicants to the program with an overview of the program and there is also a presentation from the academic chief resident on “resident life”; residents are assigned to groups for guided tours of the school, medical center, and facilities. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided as applicants mingle with residents during the day. About 20 faculty members participate in the interview process which ends mid afternoon. That evening a welcome reception is held in Boston as a relaxed time to mix and mingle with the current residents and faculty.
