Specifically, we are interested in developing<br \/>\nsubstrata with features that mimic physiological and pathophysiological<br \/>\nenvironments to study fundamental cellular processes at the<br \/>\nbiointerface. Current research projects include tissue engineering of<br \/>\nsmall diameter blood vessels for bypass and intravascular pharmacology (<em><em>e.g.<\/em><\/em><br \/>\nstents); development of targeted nano- and micro-particle contrast<br \/>\nagents for multi-modal (magnetic resonance, ultrasound, and optical)<br \/>\ndetection of atherosclerotic and vulnerable plaque; and engineering<br \/>\nbiomimetic systems to study restenosis and breast cancer.<\/p>\n<h2>Selected Recent Publications<\/h2>\n<p>Duncanson, W.J, K.
