Welcome to the Boston Medical Center Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

We are pleased to introduce you to the residency training program of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center (BMC).\u00a0 BMC is the primary teaching hospital for the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. We are privileged to be a part of an institution and department with such a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, health equity, and reproductive justice. Each of the faculty has chosen to come here to be clinicians, educators, advocates, policymakers, community leaders, and researchers in an institution dedicated to providing exceptional health care without exception in the communities we serve in Boston and beyond.\u00a0 This passion is the foundation to a true commitment to service and is what makes BMC such a special place to train.<\/p>\n

Our department has a long tradition of high quality training with excellence in all general and sub-specialty areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology.\u00a0 Residents learn in an environment rich in clinical experience alongside dedicated faculty in our generalist and sub-specialty divisions (MFM, CFP, Gyn Onc, MIGS, Urogyn, REI).\u00a0\u00a0 You will gain knowledge and skills through robust ambulatory clinical experiences, a high gyn surgical volume and a busy and\u00a0diverse obstetric service<\/a>, with a unique breadth and depth of high-risk patients. \u00a0Moreover, our department and the institution has a deep commitment to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including abortion, contraception, surgery, fertility services, and preventive care. \u00a0For all of us, health care and health equity are human rights.<\/p>\n

Our residency program prepares our residents with the medical knowledge, surgical expertise, and leadership skills necessary to be outstanding physicians and surgeons who make a true difference in the communities that they serve. \u00a0We are proud of our dedication to clinical excellence, our commitment to address racial disparities in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and our goal to dismantle systemic inequities in reproductive health.<\/p>\n
