The honor was announced on March 31, 2026, at the 62nd<\/sup> Annual PEN America Literary Awards Ceremony at Town Hall in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n

This prestigious national award recognizes her debut book, The Mind Electric<\/em>, for its “literary excellence” and its ability to communicate complex neurological concepts to the public with profound empathy and wit. Out of a highly competitive field, the judges specifically highlighted Dr. Anand\u2019s unique ability to bridge the gap between clinical science and human storytelling.<\/span><\/p>\n
