She received her BA in Cognitive Science at Yale University and her MD with a concentration in biomedical ethics and medical humanities at Stanford University. She completed her neurology residency at Johns Hopkins and was an Advanced General Neurology Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where she specialized in neuro-infectious diseases, neuroimmunology, neurologic manifestations of systemic diseases, and diagnostic dilemmas. At Boston Medical Center, she was chosen by the residents as the &#8220;Attending Educator of the Year\u201d in recognition of outstanding dedication to resident teaching and has been inducted into the Clinical Excellence Society. She has also been recognized for her teaching with the 2025 A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). Dr. Anand writes on the intersection of neurology, medicine, and human stories. Greer, MD, MA<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">is the Chair of the Department of Neurology.\u00a0He completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), followed by fellowship training in vascular neurology and neurocritical care, also at MGH.\u00a0He is a leader in the Neurocritical Care Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Stroke Association. Feske, MD<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">is the Vice Chair for Education of the Department of Neurology. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Boston University Hospital, followed by his residency in Neurology at the Harvard Longwood Program, also serving as chief resident. Dr. Feske has extensive experience and expertise as a clinical neurologist with specific expertise in the area of stroke and cerebrovascular disease and critical care neurology, as an award-winning teacher of students, residents, fellows, and peers in neurology, and as a clinical researcher and trialist in the areas of stroke pathophysiology and epidemiology and therapeutic trials relevant to stroke.\u00a0 He has a record of leadership in clinical work, teaching, and research, and an extensive record of publication.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/neurology\/files\/2022\/10\/Shah_Sunali2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"171\" class=\"wp-image-8004 alignleft\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/neurology\/files\/2022\/10\/Shah_Sunali2.jpg 663w, https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/neurology\/files\/2022\/10\/Shah_Sunali2-265x300.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 151px) 100vw, 151px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/neurology\/profile\/sunali-shah-md\/\">Sunali Shah, MD<\/a> serves as associate program director. She oversees the Preliminary program. <\/span><span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dr. Pipilas received her medical degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine residency, Chief Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Boston University Medical Center (BUMC).<\/span><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span><\/span><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/physiciandirectory.brighamandwomens.org\/Custom\/Photos\/hires\/15153.jpg\" alt=\"Steven Daniel Tobochnik, MD practices Neurology in Boston\" width=\"152\" height=\"152\" class=\"alignleft\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In January 2026 Dr. <span itemprop=\"name\">Steven D. Tobochnik <\/span>was appointed the BUMC Neurology residency site director for VA Boston. Dr. Tobochnik is a board-certified Neurologist who specialized in epilepsy. He earned his medical degree from <span itemprop=\"recognizedBy\">Temple University School of Medicine<\/span>, and then completed his Internship in Internal Medicine and Neurology Residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University. He completed his fellowship in epilepsy at <span itemprop=\"recognizedBy\">Brigham and Women&#8217;s Hospital in<\/span>\u00a0Boston, MA. She manages\u00a0 day-to-day and long range operations of the Neurology Residency as well as five fellowship programs in collaboration with the program directors and chief residents, coordinates resident and fellows\u2019 recruitment and orientation, coordinates administrative activities related to the accreditation of the programs and insures compliance with licensing agency guidelines.\u00a0 Ljiljana is the recipient of the 2016 BMC GME Program Administrator Excellence Award and 2020 ACGME Debra L.
